Just for fun, probably.Things that should, or could, have been invented/discovered long beforethey were.I think they fall into two categories:(a) Things that should have been invented/discovered(b) Things that could have been invented/discovered but forunderstandable reasons were not.So (a)1) Superconducting properties of MgB2 (37K)2) Fullerenes(b)1) Cuprate high temp superconductors2) Laser actionAny of these could have come along decades before they did, and IMHO inthe case of the fullerenes should have been.
