Don't rush out and buy banks yet. They still have lots of problems. I offered on a bank own house at 40 cents after the bank held it for almost a year. After my offer, someone uses the universal key (MLS lock box) to get in there: rip out all the copper pipes and electrical wires. So, i need 10 more cents to fix the whole plumbing and electrical systems, dry walls and tiles.

Their asset value can easily be reduced by 70%.

Idiot! Bank stocks do not pay dividends worth squat. Furthermore, M$ dividends have increased for over 20 years, and has been STABLE with huge _cash_ reserves. Banks want very low reserves to lend out and multiply their money (borrow from the Fed at absurdly low rates and loan back at far higher rates).
