OT: Hardwood vs Softwood

Right - a lot spruce, a lot fir, and others - even like hemlock. I think the poplar is a regional specialty.

It seems to depend on who uses the term.

Blobby is a bitter old crank, but he's fairly sound on physical and electrical theory. AW is a foul jerk who seems to be a tech with strong opinions and no understanding... a fairly common combination.

Also, Blooby knows how to use the Web, and AW doesn't.

Larkin, being his completely retarded self again.

I post links fairly often, idiot. The other person you insult not so much.

There goes Larkin, larking about again in a technical newsgroup.

What a non-lark. Daddy must have kept you in the dark.

Folks should call you SmiteBoy, since you seem to have some lame assed adolescent brained affinity/obsession for making up retarded monikers by which you "call" those you disagree with.

John Fields pegged you pretty succinctly.

I still say that what a punk like you deserves is a shillelagh based phrenological examination and adjustment with the end result like this

Since you act like that much is already missing.

Softwood is open-pored wood. Hardwood is closed- pore.
