OT: Build gamer computer help

I know very little about gamer type systems. I need to build a computer around the ASI Sapphire Radeon X850 XT DVI/CRT/TV-out PCI Express video board. I need to know what specific motherboards support this with no conflicts like on-board video. Are there such boards that support the standard IDE drives (CD, DVD, HD)? Please be kind to give eXplicit recommendations (maybe like the GA-K8N51GMF-9?).

HD)?

Try Toms Hardware -

- those things tends to change with the batches of chips that the Chineese assembly lines happen to get *this* month.

Even easier: Go to the local PeeCee shoppe and tell them to build a PC that will hold this particular videocard - round 'ere one pays USD 40 to have a system build which then also gives you two years warranty. Well worth it I.M.O - if incompatibilities show up, they get to fix it in their own time not yours.

Really? Only $40? Good suggestion, but i will ask about that price first and get it in writing signed by the store manager.

well - advertised price - you have to order the parts from them sooo all-in-all you will probably pay a little bit more, no ;-)

Most of the computer shops like

have a buy procedure where you can either order a standard PC and upgrade some component or order everything and have them assemble it.

In any case, I avoid the assembly, having been burned before on wierd incompatibilities. Like f.ex. an MSI board where all that Google could come up with was in Polish!!! Fliiinggg!!!
