In the May 22 to June 4, 2023) issue of Aviation Week, on page 5, there was a very interesting long letter from Greg A Lloyd of Pullman, Washington, to the editor on the practicalities of the Hydrogen Economy, in particular as it applies to aircraft propulsion. Basically, it's not even close to practical, and he lays it out point by point.

Sadly, this is behind a paywall, but large libraries will likely have this issue on hand.
Mr Lloyd is an expert on Hydrogen fuel cells and sensors. with many patents to his name.
