They do say "one" reason.

Cuz squares have a tendency to buy whatever their wife tells 'em while she sit around on her big butt all day?

You misspelled "facts".

Thanks I do my best. Time for wifey 2 get jobby-job. "stay-at-home Mom" means "unemployed" that's not a job.

Like I said, you're a misogynist, as well as racist. Lefties are. It's in their DNA.

Krw persistently confuses his own bizarre misinformation with "facts".

There's no shortage of bizarrely misinformed people here, but krw is unique in his conviction that everybody "knows" that his silly idea are right, and only disagree with him to get up his nose.

Watch an American baby-boomer turn into an environmentalist overnight when they get wind that some developer wants to build affordable housing in their 'hood. Oh shit but that's the three-toed southeastern woodland marmoset's home. A rare species of narwhal lives in that pond over there we have to save the whales.

Strap in and grab your snorkel because you're in the FACTS ZONE, commies

Their children are raised by strangers and hirelings--what would one expect?

They tend to end up knowing what "DNA" is though and what can and cannot be encoded in it. It makes for educated citizens and skilled workers but pretty poor right-wing voters.

In any case believing the "state of motherhood" is not a privileged one would only be considered "misogyny" to the most cranky of wingnut white-knights. The state of motherhood is extremely common, it happens literally a million times a day.

I do not "ask permission" from my SO either before I make major purchases I manage my own finances and buy what I wish; a wife or girlfriend is not a surrogate "local government" there to enforce self-defined zoning laws. You can live like that if you want to but I wouldn't recommend it.

I guess that's why you come across as so contented and well-adjusted. ;)

I didn't watch the video, but I mistakenly thought there might be a discussion of why homes cost so much.

compared to..."krw"'s congenial personality? At least I'm amusing sometimes. I don't think of that as a flaw myself YMMV.

Anyway I had a paper route and was building model rockets at 10 Junior will be fine he doesn't need Mom around all day and up his butt all the time it's healthy for him or her to interact with other people. If you wonder why "the kids these days" are often the way they are, can't tell time on an analog clock, don't know what mustard is...well I have my suspicions

If you denigrate women for doing what they choose to do, you're probably a misogynist.

If you see the world through the lens of race, you _are_ a racist.

If you're more worried about someone else's life than you are about your own, you *are* a leftist.

You _ARE_ all of the above. You can't help it, you're a totalitarian (all leftists are).

You think a lot more of your self than is deserved.

Your mommy issues have been obvious for some time. No need to hash them out here. This isn't sci.psych.

Because people are willing to pay so much, obviously.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Do something different than what the neigborhood is used to and be prepared for push back.

Part of the property price problem is the 'highest use' valuation. You have typical suburban single family houses on their own lots and that property is worth only so much. Banks won't loan above a certain property to improvement ratio (to keep someone from securing a housing loan on an expensive piece of property by building a shack). But once the planning commision signals its intent to allow more dense housing in an area, developers can build more per acre. More housing square footage on the same lot (smaller or zero setbacks) and higher structures (multi-story condos, apartments, etc.) make for higher profits. The land becomes a smaller part of the cost of each residence, so developers can afford to pay more to existing land owners. In fact, once this highest use price ratchets up, banks may no longer lend for the continued low density use. Property sellers are stuck selling to developers instead of the next single occupant. Even worse, property taxes are based on the highest use value of your land. So if you've been living in your little house, big lot for years and it gets re-zoned for high density, your taxes go up as developers start buying around you. Until you get pushed out by the tax bill.

Actually, you are practising Christian Charity as the good Samaritan did.

Not all leftists are totalitarians. Marx and the proto-communists got slung out of the international socialist movement in 1871 because it was felt that their emphasis on the "leading role of the party" was undemocratic.

At the time Mikhail Bakunin produced a remarkably prophetic comment.

I do post this point from time to time, but none of our resident rightists ever seem to have noticed.
