The best bit.... those 9x9 LED panels of which there were 89K pcs (ish) Who wants to suggest how they were all hooked up to get that speed ?


1) I guess they were split into 2 halves, and duplicated.
2) At least one option was 'VGA to matrix' conversion
3) Another was a 'graphic equaliser' type representation.


The light effects were definitely the best part of the closing ceremony.

The LEDs were a 3x3 or 9 LEDs per seat:
