I remember the very day that electronics started making quantitative sense to me. I'd been building simple stuff, crystal sets and neon oscillators and stuff since I was 8 maybe, but it was just fiddling. I got a transistor, 2N107 I think, and decided to plot Id versus Ib on an oscilloscope. It was a straight line. I was stunned. Click. I must have been 12 or 13 maybe... something having to do with puberty and hormones maybe.
