Pink Floyd did. They were never the same since.

And neither were we.

It's a dirty job but someone had to do it.

I think you're trying to do to much in the early development of your craft.

Pioneers in rocketry quickly decided that the way to go was to drop off unneeded bits of the vehicle on the way. I think you should consider that. Once a battery is discharged, jettison it. This will reduce the power required to get the remainder of the vehicle further on its journey.

Once you've landed on the moon, you need to consider whether to dump a whole load of batteries, and just return half of the vehicle back to Earth.

Good luck.

Not sure if you even noticed.

fly and Moon are mutually exclusive.

Maybe we should use a space slingshot.

Set up a huge one on the moon to fire crew cabs back to Earth.

Surely not. I saw an episode of Dr Who where the Space Shuttle flew down to the moon.

I like the maid in SpaceBalls. We could take the atmosphere to Mars, then Trump (and his idiot followers) would not be able to spew forth any more.

Are you suggesting we should drive to the moon? My twenty year old truck h ad enough miles to make it to the moon. I think if it hadn't been wrecked it could have driven back too. Not sure if it would have done the trip so easily since it is mostly uphill. That can be a lot of strain on an engine and the downhill would be hard on the brakes. I'd have to stop several ti mes to replace the front brake pads.

  • Awww...do i half to?

PS: Gasoline has a MUCH higher energy/weight ratio.

NO, stupid. Instead of using a limited energy storage device like a battery, use gasoline* as an energy storage device. Burn it to drive an electric generator; use the electricity for a plasma (aka "rocket") exhaust (or ion blast).

*other compounds might be better suited, running from alcohol to nitric acid/hydrazene "mix".

No, my bet is that you've always been AlwaysWrong. You're so good at it that it must have taken a lifetime of practice.

Huh??? Why is gasoline not "limited energy storage"??? Is there something about gasoline that makes it an infinite energy source? I wasn't aware of that.

True, but the OP appears, at least from context, to want to build an all-electric spacecraft. Far be it from us to deter him from that.

Other people have come up with similarly strange ideas that have proved fruitful, such as ... well, actually I can't think of any, but you get what I mean.

Sylvia.

Agreed, you would have to practice and be born twisted to be like that lightweight bozo.

Agreeing with krw puts you in a slighly lower class of lightweight boozo's.

It's only slightly lower, because there's not much space left at the bottom of the pecking order. DLUNU has his faults, but he's nowhere the Johnny One Note category that krw has pretty much to himself.

Again. Stupid and meaningless, as WTF is MSM?

IOW, you say stupid s*it and just like Trump, you don't care when you get called on it. Boy... this is some stupid s*it. You got *that* down pat.

I am not responsible for your ignorance.

Please go attempt to fertilize yourself.

No, on second thought don't.

You might succeed.

Nor do you have the capacity to assess it or anything else, putz.

Give e your address, and I will come fertilize your sleeping quarters with some diesel soaked fertilizer.

On second thought, you deserve it far more slowly than that.

You are an idiot, and if it was my business, you would be at the nunya existence point. You are lucky I do not give a fat flying f*ck about twerp pieces of s*it like you.

That's almost hilarious from someone so disconnected from reality that he didn't recognize "MSM".

No, actually, it's pathetic.

Oooh, threats. I'm so scared.

How very mature... from someone who constantly whines about how mean others are to him as he spews venom in every direction.

Have you never wondered why the only person that's civil to you here is Slowman?

Wow, someone exposes your ignorance and you get Extra Vile. Who would have thought.

Suuure. But first you'd have to leave Mommy's basement and come out into The Big Blue Room.

You're not worth anyone's time. Except Slowman's...
