What good is a device that isn't ready for production? The article only talks about the development. They don't say a word about production. Who is going to make 100,000 of these things and when???

Why does Trump want GM so involved? Do they already have such a device and the facilities to make them? If that answer is no, then I would ask WHY is Stryker not being motivated to produce needed products, many of which fall under their pervue of expertise to start whith... sterile painted metal and molded plastic devices with electronic controls. This would be an easy step for them or at least some of the main components thereof.

The target cost of materials is $100. It's mainly for third world. The BOM is readily available materials.
