Yeah, thing is you see tons of new building techniques on Youtube. I seldom find anyone locally using them though. Try getting someone to build a house that way.

Dunno-can't find anything on it.
U.S. is slow to accept anything new, mainly because there have been so many disaster stories, and problems with material can take years to show up. So if the old material is good enough, use it and let someone else take the liability risk.
