Leaded PCB Production in the East

Dec 09, 2005 2 Replies

Hi

For a new project we will be calculating/comparing the price of making a PCB in the east (China or simelar) versus the price in our homeland Denmark

We will split the product up in two PCBs - one SMD and one leaded

We will still be producing the PCB that has the SMD components, but we have prohibitive cost in our fully automated production and thus is looking elsewhere to cheaper alternatives. It may be fully automated or on the other end of the scale fully manual labor

Does anyone have good experience with a production company or know where to ask for a contact?

(The PCB will comprise of some magnetics and some capacitors and a varistor - typical EMC filter)

Thanks

Klaus

Also consider Bulgaria (olimex.com).

We are a PCBA manufecturer in China. About the price of making PCB, I suppose that you are talking about PCBA which is mounting components on the PCB board. The price depends on the volume you need per day. For example, if you need to mount 1 million components per day, each compoments normally cost 0.02 Yuan. This price is for normal

0603, 0805,ect. components. For 0402 components, normally it cost 0.025 Yuan. For Lead-free components, it costs more. Theses are the quote for SMD components. For man-wiring components, each components normally cost 0.05 Yuan. But of course, the cost still depends on the complexity of the board.
