Trust Faux News to peddle denialist propaganda

Chris Horner has a history of trying to discredit James Hansen - whose job is to present the scientific concensus on anthropogenic global warming to the American public.

Since the denialists can't effectively argue with the scientific case, they concentrate on reducing the credibility of the people whose job it is to present it to the public in general. This has the incidental advantage of making the jobs themselves less attractive, so James Hansen's successor will probably be less good at the job - somebody really good would be able to opt for a different job carrying less risk of being hassled by denialist lawyers.

In the UK, Chris Horner could probably be prosecuated for barratry.
