No, you could probably get decent cash for them from someone in the recording biz/liv sound or someone with a home recording studio. New equipment racks that are any good are expensive.

Where are they located? I could use at least one of them.

These are instrument racks and not server racks, right?

Cheers

19" instrument racks always seemed expensive, when I priced them.

They are instrument racks located in Amhearst, NH.. I've got some large Boatanchor radios so I might grab one of em. (Collins R390A, Hammarlund Sp600 and a Racal RA17 if you are curious.

We got two instrument racks for cheap from a scrap dealer. Upon inspection they came from the old Ericsson MPD that had closed up a year or so prior. From what I can tell the purchased MPD in 2000, and closed it 3 years later, not sure if they moved.

Good racks are hard to find cheap, usually ~1k each.

Pity I don't get any vacation this summer, or I'd drive up and snag one. I'll probably have to get a couple of relay racks and hack them up. I have a bunch of equipment that would get a lot more use if it were in a rack. My main rack is an old HP one that I bought in 2009 from ecnerwal (who used to be a regular here).

Cheers

NINETEEN FEET???? Iffin youse can haul it cheep, the scrap metal price may be worth the hauling cost (iron is almost worthless, some scrap yards expect a minimum of 20 pounds). ..AFTER removing those goodies.
