Is S.E.D actually sci.electronics.DUMMIES ??

Probably. I'm in-training to switch parties and become a leftist weenie ;-)

Everyone gather 'round! The 15dB vs 60dB gain mis-read was a disastrous mistake... I should have read the original URL rather than relying on clips from it :-(

I APOLOGIZE... (write this down, it's historic :-)

at 60dB Gain the structure is decently nice... 1.1nV/sq-rt-Hz

(VR1 is zero for 60dB gain... I don't know why it is there.)

However a 1% mismatch of R2:R6 give a 23dB PSRR... pretty shabby.

At the 15dB gain I thought was wanted, the noise floor is bad at

38nV/sq-rt-Hz as I previously opined.

PSRR remains at 23dB for a 1% mismatch.

Structures as Bloggs brought forth, with current sources top and bottom, and 2.2K resistors moved to collector circuits of Q2,Q4, are better performing.

I tweaked it a little bit and moved the decoupling to where it's far more effective....

You have much to learn grasshopper. The liberal anti-Bush crowd doesn't tear down the regular folks on the other side; they try to convince and convert them. You'll have to learn to respect your fellows. Get ready: No more trashing posts for you.

So then do you retract your steady stream of insults to me and to our book made in this thread? Jim, if you look back, you'll see I did not praise this circuit, but instead had a long list of problems with it. But I was also troubled by all the careless criticism it received here. Much of it was either incorrect or irrelevant. Somehow you took this as a reason to trash me repeatedly. Frankly, it appears your real reason is right-wing political, and that stinks.

I've figured out Jim's problem - he's used up so much of his brain memorizing all of that esoteric analog gurutry that there isn't enough left over for rational thought. )-;

typical bigot. see a person say something you dont like, malign an entire group....

At least Rich:

1) owned his statement "I've..." 2) clearly identified his target "Jim's (sic)...."

(Rich, I thought you were the apostrophe police?)

besides, it was funny.

Dude, you seem hate everything that's not marching in lockstep with you, as if you and the other rabid neocons were cast out of the same mold.

Good Luck! Rich

Well, yeah. What's wrong with "Jim's problem" or using the contraction in "he's used it up" to mean "he has used it up"? :-)

Thank you! Thank Goddess! It's about time some of my wry humour got some recognition around here! :-D :-D :-D

Cheers! Rich

I might be wrong, but it didnt look right. I thought seeing as it isn't a contraction of is or has, an apostroffy wuznt rekwired.

but dont believe me, I didnt learn any english grammar until I started learning to speak chinese. And I still cant remember what an adjective is (please dont tell me, I just dont care. tell me something about electronics instead)

or using the contraction

nuffink

you might enjoy "monty pythons fliegender zirkus" if you can find it. I may have mis-spelled zer German.

Yeah, I'm the rabid, hating Neocon, and you're the peaceful, loving Hippie who can't accept a flatfooted apology and agonizes that your silly-assed god failed to murder someone you cannot bring yourself to see as a human being.

Sure, dude.
