Just because you have never seen it done, doesn't mean it isn't nor does it make it stupid. I don't see what it has to do with politics either !

There is no reason to do it and a lot of reasons not to do it. It certainly
*is* stupid.
Other than Demonicrats being stupid people, and even those in &cold_place aren't stupid enough to do it, not much. I suppose you're another example of a stupid Demonicrat. Figures.
Then it is probably 2 as the most common size.
A mil shower is usually less than ten minutes in length. Most cushy comfy Americans I would think tend toward a bit longer session.
I can take up to a half hour.
My shower head is restricted by the restrictor as well as by the terrible job of water purification that they do here causing unreal calcification.
So even if I crank the tap all the way open, when I pull the shower lever, it only comes out at the one rate, because I surpassed any point where my tap setting would allow me to notice a different flow.
Shower heads have changed a bit to accommodate lower flow rate feeds. They typically have smaller jets (orifices) than they did back in the "shower massage" heyday of the seventies.
Those types of shower heads still do not work well in restricted lines. Not as well as they did back in the day. Even in an unrestricted line, they do not give the same experience they did back then. I think city line pressures are a bit lower as well. In Southern Ohio the feed line is high pressure, and every house needs a regulator at the usage meter so the whole house system gets a regulated pressure.
Fire hydrants in Ohio can feed the water, because they put huge water tanks on top of high hills.
Out here in California forest and brush fire capital of the world, they do not know how to make a water tank, they do not know how to erect it to gain pressure heads and they make fire affected communities PAY a few thousand dollars each to have hydrants put on their streets AFTER they already got burned out! Low pressure hydrants fed by who knows what.

Flow or movement of a medium is required in order to transfer heat from one medium to another. Either way an equilibrium will be reached.
I belive I do !
I belive you are talking about "Instantaneous" water heaters where the water temperature is a function of the rate of flow. The higher the rate of flow the cooler the output water. A little bit like the old gas geysers.
I didn't realise that you were discussing efficiency of transferring thousands of BTU.
Mmm. Tell that to my central heating radiators ! The pumped coil feeding them is inside the tank of hot water. That hot water also feeds the shower in addition to all the hot taps in the house. Without water flowing in the pipes I wouldn't have heated radiators.
I rather think that example suggests that heat transfer can take place between two pipes.
I don't think that you have said anything that proves me wrong.

OK ! Start by stating the reasons for and against.
If you're agreeing with DimBulb, you're most likely wrong. DimBulb is particularly dense when it comes to thermodynamics (hence the name "DimBulb"). He's also known as AlwaysWrong, for good reason.
I'll net MichaelT give you the complete list of Nymbecile's nyms (he's closing in on 100 of 'em), so you know who you're talking to, here, in the future.

Yes, its about that for me. I tend to get in, get washed, get out without wasting time
Sounds like we have a lot in common. I don't have a water softener to restrict the flow, but the shower head came with a couple of rubber washers with different hole sizes. I guess they are used to restrict the flow.
Yes I've got one of those. Its set to 3.5bar. So the whole house gets a constant pressure feed.
I've seen some of the fires on TV. Terrible destruction and I belive some loss of life.
You are the idiot that claimed local thermal coupling.
If that is to happen, then said coupling would have to transfer such a number, and it doesn't. Again you prove that your claim is ludicrous.
You prove MY point, idiot.
That pump is CONTINUOUSLY moving the medium that heats those radiators through it.
It SITS inside a hot water tank to gain the heat from it.
That has NOTHING to do with any hot water line flowing.
Go find the hot water line feeding your washer. If you have not used the washer in several hours, the pipe will be at ambient.
If there were a constant leak at the washer end, THEN the pipe would be at the water heater tank temp.
Not the level you claimed.
You fail to understand that once the water is flowing NO local heating takes place.
Houses in cold regions are built specifically in such a way that there are NO pipes EVER exposed to freezing temps, you utter idiot.
So there are NO design intentions that would use the thermal from the hot side to "keep the cold side from freezing".
He is right, and you are an idiot.

Meaningless dribble.

Where did I claim a level.
And heating radiators don't work either.
It's a *huge* waste of energy. That's enough reason not to do it, but others include leaks, it's harder to do than not, there is no reason....
You _are_ DimBulb's twin sister.

Water comes from the city. Enters the house at the side yard - one pipe only. I have a standard water heater (80 gallons, electric). Not an inline one.
I take pretty quick showers - maybe 10 minutes? With the occasional "run till cold" if I get a really bad headache from the sea of morons that surround us! :-)

KRW is not good for anything, and you sucking up to his retarded horseshit means that you aren't good for much either, asswipe.
You claiming that ANY engineer in the world would design house plumbing that nests pipes together to keep one from freezing is what constitutes meaningless dribble.
