I'm must be a loser

There are legitimate reasons, such as health, transportation, work situation and child care. There are also reasons that a lot of juries are retirees.

A local judge tried to force a local business owner to shut his business down for an expected three week trial. He would have had nothing to come back to. He owns and runs a gas station by himself. I was called for the same trial. The medicine I was on had me going to the bathroom every 15 to 30 minutes.

They don't bother with voter polls, they use driver's license and property records to create the pools here.

Anyone wanting to run for any political office in the US should have to have a DD214, and a honorable discharge.

Grow old fast.

Here in Texas you can get an exemption if you are 70 or more.

He told you why.

States differ but most don't only "get registered votersa". They often pull from driver's license information, too. Voters rolls aren't so great anymore, though. Too many illegals.

I already posted why. If I was retired, I would enjoy going through it again.

I would never try to gt out of it, I WANT to do it. I won't right here and now becaause I ain't registered to vote this year, but oh well. in fact I thinik they should go out there and find non-registered people for juries. "TAG, you're it !".

Well not to fast! How about 6 months per year. btw, I just saw the retired principal of my grown children's grade school. She a hot 70 year old, yow!

I'm hoping I'll get one more try.

That's not true. Our jury forman was a mechanical engineer and the case involved a botched construction job where the plaintiff was a civil engineer. One of the defendant's witnesses was from MIT who explained on a blackboard how to do the job correctly. It was very educational with not much emotion.

"This is to let you know that all the trials that were scheduled for Monday, November 3rd have either been settled or continued so you do not need to report for Jury Duty on Monday, November. Once again you are excused from Jury Duty."
