Google does seem to be using artificial intelligence a lot. Your posts on the thread mentioned 0.45 calibre bullets as examples of the quantity of stored energy you were dealing with. It's not one I've ever seen any other electronic professional use. It might have been enough to trigger its anxieties.

I don't use gmail unless I want an address in public. Since email started I have preferred to run my own email server. For the type of email you're sending I'd probably use this:

Just don't use Google for anything serious, especially email. Assume disposable resource that could go down at an time. They also don't like compressed, or binary files and have limits on attachment sizes. Junk, consumer quality service, even if it is free.

Pay a bit more for something that works.

But the bullet will be much noisier.

I use Outlook because my company does. No problems sending to co-workers.

I don't (knowingly) use any google services. "Do no harm" -- I guess they have a different notion of "harm"! :>

I haven't done that since retiring my bang address. I don't spend time or resources (of which time is the most precious) on "commodity" services -- there are just too many free email services, cloud services, VPN, etc. to devote time maintaining a service where I'm not realistically going to add any value. (I do maintain an out-facing server, though -- but, it "hides" so you'd have to know where AND HOW to access it. This lets me deploy typical services without having to invest in defending the server.)

Personally, I find the use of an intermediate store more useful for those things (as they tend to be large payloads that I want to protect, not plaintext messages -- I also don't want to attract attention and have to explain why I'm "paranoid" about those communications)

What is most amusing is how many institutions leak "personal data" in their plaintext correspondences: "We've acknowledged receipt of your $25,000 wire transfer..."

Many organizations have outsourced their email to google. There is obviously value in:

- mapping the relationships between communicating parties

- reading their correspondence

Still with Thunderbird, well, since it was originally Netscape mail. Use Fasthosts (UK), for the domain name and mailboxes, for most of ten years now. The isp, with fixed ip address, just provides the wire. Pretty good,

I haven't been able to contact anyone who uses gmail or google mail for a couple of years now. Apparently they are demanding some identification which my e-mailer doesn't give, so they just delete my e-mail without explanation. I am not going to change my e-mailer to suit them, expecially if it gives them information I have no control over.

Currently i have to send e-mails to gmail users by firat posting them to another computer and then forwarding them from there.

Are there any happy stories of AI moderators/filters? I don't write reviews on Steampowered anymore because of the AI moderators and also that they don't state anything about their criteria for refusal. I don't use reddit except for in what i consider have to or necessary cases where I absolutely need to make a statement because of their AI interceptors. I'm more open to reddit because their AI moderators make a brief case for their exception to your posting, but still reticent and reluctant to post there except in extreme need. I have yet to hear a story about someone proud of their AI interceptor at an internet location or website. Maybe the people in charge? I don't know.
