this is what you Tesla freaks need in the back yard.

Full charge in the same time it takes to fill a petrol car.

I hope there's no CO2 in that exhaust.

If I somehow had a Tesla, I'd carry a Honda generator in the back seat.

Not in SF, they will break your window and take the generator in no time. My car was broken into, and stuffs stolen from the trunk, including my L1 charger. I now have all acrylic windows.

That would be a serial hybrid.

Take it with you only when planning a long trip into areas with no or unknown charging infrastructure.

A 10 kW unit should be sufficient as an emergency power supply to get you into a charging station when the battery has been emptied.

We just drove 190 miles home from Truckee on half a tank of gas. There was no planning involved.

It's rare to see a Tesla up there in the winter. We saw 4 on the highway this time, close together. I think Teslas travel in packs for mutual support.

** Like a wagon train carrying settlers ?? The area has a famous history in that regard.

But in reality: It's called "drafting".

Like what " stock cars " and cyclists do.

Gotta save those kWhs.

Lots of history. Cannibalism. Gold. Railroads. Winter Olympics.

They weren't close enough for that.

The local Indians own casinos (and some interesting mineral rights) and buy pickups and Range Rovers.

Say Tesla has 80 kwh battery, that 2Mw gen would top it off from empty in 80 kwh/2000kw * 3600sec/hr = 144s = 2m 24s
