eye magnetic field sensitivity

All the click/clack and whirring noises kept me from sleeping... though I almost succeeded (after I recovered from a momentary claustrophobic attack :-) ...Jim Thompson

other than the risk of asphyxiation from the boiling helium if it doesn't get vented to the outside is it really that violent?

I mean it might ruin the magnet and if not it takes weeks to adjust after restarting but its not like it is going to explode

There are a few examples of MRI quenches on YouTube. I can't look at them because my laptop is sick but type "MRI Quench" on the search line.

It makes a lot of noise.

The operator talking to me kept me awake. I was stuffed all the way down the tube (looking at the heart). I thought I'd be claustrophobic but there was plenty of air and it was cold, which helps.

It reminded me of crawling under a rack of equipment, with little room to spare. I had to do that at a college campus years ago. Some 'engineer' designed the sound system for their gym, for their basketball games. The thing was pre built, and mounted on the wall. The wiring was too short to set it on the floor so I crawled under and into the mess to unhook about 35 cables. The coach was complaining the entire time that they had a game the next night, blah, blah, blah. Excessive complaining only slows any work. :(
