equalizing CAT6A twisted pair

In general?

In our entire universe!

This is worse than the effects of moving the cable around *after* an antenna match session.

10MHz is our std synching clock.

Our simulators (stimulators) synch 1024 channels across 15 racks with mostly equal path lengths to within a picosecond of each other and we distribute reference signals across them all. Over coax. That way we know exactly when the data arrived or was sent with reference to the entire stimulus mosaic.

Per ANSI/TIA-568 .2 clause 6.2.19 the maximum propagation delay=20 skew is 50 ps.

Design accordingly.

50 ps out of 20 meters? One part in 2000. That would be great.

Belden 7988R Cat 6 claims 10 ns per 100m, about 2%!

50ps sound implausible, five minutes with google says the spec. for cat6 is

That's what we're talking about. If you mean "skew" to be the difference in prop delay between pairs in the same cable.

What else could it mean?

picoseconds? surely you must mean nanoseconds

And it surely depends on the cable length.

Straight from the standard then:

I don't see the attachment in my editor window, i will guess that it did no attach yet.

Different method:

Didn't work, but i can now see that the pdf is attached.

Here's a Belden cable.

Skew is 45 ns max for 100m length.

That's almost 10%. Seems like a lot.

That does seem like an unreasonably high skew limit. But the page from the standard made it i see. Could be somebody "correcting" a typo.

It is in the adjacent post. Maybe you have not received that post.

This is a text group. Most providers don't allow binaries.

Can you post it to a.b.s.e. ?

Sure. Look for it over a day or so. It seems to take me two tries to post an attachment.
