Dueling heat waves are baking the East and West Coasts. One is going to be worse than the other

Environment Canada, Canada's governmental source for weather information, has issued heat warnings for most of British Columbia and Alberta that extend all the way to the Arctic Circle.You know it's bad when it's a sauna inside the arctic circle.Not sure Alberta especially is real big on air conditioning.

Google Earth will show you that airport today and in 1985. It was less dense and more green then.

In 1938, it was probably a few grass strips with cows.

Well, Lytton BC broke the previous all-Canada record by 13 F yesterday, hours before a brush fire burnt the whole village to the ground. :(

Seriously, it got up to 121 F (49.4 C) in _Canada_.

May God have mercy on them all.
