Hmm. I think number 25 is obvious but I'd never heard of a taramasalata until a search engine just now.

Since these appear to all be cryptic crossword clues, shouldn't you have provided a proper grid for them?

It isn't a crossword; the answers don't interact with each other but they all pertain to one subject (a different subject each year). After you have answered a few of the easy ones, the subject will become apparent and then you will be able to work out the more difficult clues.

Taramasalata has been on sale in our local supermarkets for several years - perhaps it is only popular in a few countries. I like to include a few unusual words in these quizzes so as to make people think a bit harder (but nothing too obscure, I hope).
