asset labels

Feb 18, 2011 5 Replies

Hi gang, I need about 25 -50 die-cut (rounded edge) labels of about 2 x 0.75 inches. Some sort of vinyl, that can be laser printed and has a good, thick adhesive (about 2mils) to stick to anodized aluminum OR powder coated aluminum. This is for commercial temp, indoor use. I don't need tamper proof vinyl.

The usual stationery paper stuff won't do. Finding asset labels in small quantities is more difficult than I expected. I'm also in Canada, which for some reason makes shipping very expensive since most companies are in the US but use UPS, which costs 40$ shipping for a single sheet of labels.... Gimme a break!

Any companies, or product names?

Look at Avery. They do strong "polyester" and also some Mylar like metalised ones that are very good.

You can also actually stamp a numeral in some versions. Both metallic backed and polymer.

Office Depot, Staples, London drugs?

At least here in Vancouver, BC that's where I'd start...

Found them:

"Durable Metallic Heavy Duty Labels, L6009, 960/Pack, 45.7 x 21.2 mm" "AVERY Product Number: 959201 - Software Code: L6009"

Made by many other companies as well - you can buy them at most stationary stores.

Yes; it's very hard to find them in moving stores. ;)
