[Announce] FidoCadJ 0.24, simple and intuitive drawing for electronics

Hi to all, I would like to write a few lines about FidoCadJ, an open source editor dedicated to electronics. Here is the link of the Sourceforge project, where everything can be freely downloaded (license GPL v. 3):

This program might be useful as an electronic equivalent of a very simple drawing board, with a rather complete library of electronic symbols. No netlist concept is used, so you do not want to use FidoCadJ for complex schematics or PCBs. However, FidoCadJ is lightweight, easy to use and very useful for quick sketches. Someone once said that FidoCadJ occupies a niche between KiCad and xfig and I think this is a nice definition.

FidoCadJ allows to represent drawings via a compact code which can be copy/pasted in a post on Usenet or in a forum. Who reads the message can insert this code in FidoCadJ, edit the drawing and posting quickly a modified version. FidoCadJ is written in Java and it has been successfully tested on Windows, many Linux distributions and MacOSX. You can find here FidoCadJ silently running on a web server, converting the given code in an image:

Try to copy and paste there the following code: you should obtain a bipolar differential pair, biased via a very simple current mirror.

[FIDOCAD] MC 55 45 0 0 280 TY 71 43 4 3 0 0 0 * Q2 MC 115 45 0 1 280 TY 93 43 4 3 0 0 0 * Q4 MC 70 75 0 0 280 TY 86 73 4 3 0 0 0 * Q3 MC 35 75 0 1 280 TY 12 73 4 3 0 0 0 * Q1 LI 35 75 70 75 0 LI 70 55 70 65 0 LI 70 65 100 65 0 LI 100 65 100 55 0 SA 85 65 0 MC 85 85 0 0 045 MC 20 85 0 0 045 LI 20 65 20 35 0 MC 20 25 1 0 080 TY 25 28 4 3 0 0 0 * R1 MC 70 25 1 0 080 TY 75 27 4 3 0 0 0 * R2 MC 100 25 1 0 080 TY 105 27 4 3 0 0 0 * R3 LI 20 25 20 15 0 LI 70 15 70 25 0 LI 100 25 100 15 0 LI 15 15 105 15 0 SA 100 15 0 SA 70 15 0 SA 20 15 0 MC 105 15 0 0 010 TY 113 12 4 3 0 0 0 * Vdd

Thanks to the help of many users, FidoCadJ is available in several languages. I hope you might find FidoCadJ useful. By the way, we are also seeking for developers, translators or testers. If you are motivated to join the developer team, please drop a few lines on the Sourceforge forum saying what you want to do:
