China suffers horribly from air pollution by the output coal burning genera tor plants. They've shut down a lot of the old, dirty inefficient units and are investing heavily in renewable energy generation. It will be a while b efore they can shut down the more modern coal-fired generators but they are working on it.

Are you trying to say Trump is a leftist? He seems to have decided it was important to reduce taxes without a way to pay for it. The result? Record levels of both the total debt and the debt relative to GDP. Even with low er interest rates, the total annual interest paid under Trump is higher tha n any other time.

The US national debt is large at the moment. When George W Bush - right-win ger - was president he ignored the US house price bubble which created the global financial crisis when it burst.

The not-particularly-left-wing administration that followed was stuck with using deficit-funded stimulus to keep the economy out of depression, which ran up the national debt. They'd got it out of trouble by the time Donald T rump got elected, but Donald Trump then introduced a cut in the US corporat e tax rate to buy a few more votes, and didn't bother to find any new tax i ncome to pay for it, pushing the US deficit up even higher.

It wasn't any kind of grand idea but he didn't find an answer to the proble m of paying for.
