ADCMP561 spice model

Analog Devices makes some nice PECL comparators, but the data sheets are old and iffy, and there don't seem to be any Spice models. It was raining and snowing and I couldn't go skiing, so I did a behavioral model. I plan to use one of these to make a pretty good 500 MHz oscillator, so I wanted to get it mostly right. Jim's TANH thing is a nice way to make a saturating stage. The open-emitter outputs could be added with a couple of diodes, but I don't need that just now.

(I did fill out an ADI form, noting that the ADCMP561 data sheet is rev 0, from 2003, and has obvious errors and omissions. They responded by inviting me to fix it, presumably for free.)

Are you using my B_DIFF_PAIR.pdf model? (On the Device Models & Subcircuits Page of my website.) I use that extensively as front-ends for all kinds of OpAmps, Comparators and _occasionally_ ECL/PECL.

Merry Christmas and/or Happy Hanukkah! (We celebrate both ;-)

Getting all 19 of the family members coordinated with colleges and jobs, and in town, we will do our combined celebration on January

I love to cook with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food.
