M/A-Com's MA4GM301-T5 had an 8-pin TO-5 can. It was a GaAs MMIC voltage-variable absorptive attenuator, DC-2GHz, 0dBm max input.

I found two of these in my precious parts box, but I was unable to locate a datasheet or remember the function. The manufacturer logo is mu\\A.

It is in a TO5 can with 8 pins. I was doing some 100MHz VCA, could have been used for that. It was 1985?
