1/f noise

Why 1/f noise is so important in mosftet if it decreases with frequency?Why pmos have a better 1/f nois respect to nmos? Thanks in advance

Because at low frequencies it's BIG.

And (I've been given to understand) it sounds nasty in audio systems.

Dunno. I hope someone smart will answer that one.
