comparator

Need a comparator that will operate with a common mode input at the positive rail. Something that will survive long-term in an automotive environment. Seek suggestions on comparators that I can find in dual or quad, through-hole or SMT.

Wouldn't be easier to resistively scale the inputs so you don't need to be at the rail?

Well, it would actually be easier not to have to do that!

certainly scaling the inputs is good and cheap but could use the LM339/LM393 quad/dual comps anyway in an auto environment
