Bidirection Cinch Jones Connector

Jan 20, 2008 1 Replies

I'm seeking a connector for 12v battery charger application. One end will be mounted in the vehicle, the other on the charger cord.

Since both will be "hot" the usual "supply end is female" does not apply.

I seem to recall a round Cinch-Jones connector where it had one pin and one socket; the mating connector was identical -- ie they were unisex. But can't see such in their catalog.

Does anyone recall same?

I got a private response suggesting Anderson connectors instead of a CJ. While I think the Anderson's are a good choice for battery connections, in this app I'll pass.

a) There is [afaik] no panel mount version.

b) They are not mechanically sturdy as a real CJ assembly is.

c) I don't know how many insertion cycles they'll survive. On a CJ, I'll be dead before it wears out.
