Where does this a-xyzzyin' come from? My official grammar has no place for it.

I have seen/heard it before for example in "The Curse Of Millhaven" by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds

I once asked a colleage who spoke (spake upon me?) Queen's English but he couldn't explain it really.
