eg 5007 presumably week 07 of 52 in year 2005 JRC seems to use this convention of reversing post-millenium dates - do others ?

Many decades ago 5007 stood for year 1950. Work 07. And usually this was based on a 50 work week year.
I will have to monitor date codes more closely to see if the 50 work week thing is still true.
