Use of external mouse wore out double USB connector on HP5700 laptop computer. No such parts available from HP (of course). Anyone know where to find such? It is a PC board mounted affair with the two USB connectors long sides horizontal. Maybe you have a junk laptop motherboard for postage? thanks Bob
Is it possible that the solder joints have broken. Look at them carefully and if you can see any cracks on the pc board where they are soldered on. If they are broken it is a simple repair job for anyone who can solder.
