16KHz 10V Ultrasonic Transmitter

I have scoured the internet looking for a supplier of PCB-mounting

16KHz ultrasonic transmitters that will operate at 10-12VDC.

Most seem to be 40KHz and/or require 20V plus.

Can anyone recommend a definite part source? Given the desired specs, would I be better off using a small piezo tweeter?

You are aware, I presume, that human hearing range is from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, which decidedly makes a mere 16 kHz NOT qualify as "Ultrasonic"?

And the kilo prefix is always NOT capitalized.

As I suspected. But I was hoping for PCB mount size, either bare piezo disk or encased.

Can anyone advise a part source? Large manufacturer?

The outlets like Element and RS do not offer enough choice.

Again: 16KHz 10-12V drive.

ISTR there are 15kHz transducers for ultrasonic welding. I doubt if they will be very loud on 10v drive though.

Is the intention to annoy teenagers?

** You planning to annoy the crap out of the local canine population ???

Woof, woof .....

** Well 40kHz * IS * ultra-sonic after all.
** Just use the driver from a small piezo horn - often they can be easily detached.

Long as your circuit can drive a few volts at 16kHz into a load of about

100nF you are sweet.

Seriously, and I thought it was hard to find a bigger ass than Allison or Thompson.

If they run on that low a voltage, perhaps they're magnetic bleepers rather than piezo things.

16kHz isn't ultrasonic of course.
