DVD-recorder according to subject does not read DVDs. Normal CD plays perfectly. It just says "disc error" or something like this and ejects DVD.
What would be the problem? Any repair tips?
Recorder was only eight months old. :( I have heard that this is the same device as LG/Goldstar DR4912 so it is LG product indeed.

ISTM that these use two lasers, one for CDs one for DVDs. That's what I've heard.
Well, maybe DVD-laser is then dead. Is it possible to replace it? Can I suppose that tracking and focus servos are working OK because it read CDs?
