samsung txm2796 no pix

I had a samsung txm2796 come in with no pix. It turns on, you here the high voltage surge up, then it shuts down with no picture and then makes a diddle noise though the speaker. The H out is not shorted. ESR caps nothing jumped out. Resoldered the board up but nothing looked really bad. Any ideas?

The high voltage, or the power supply may be out of spec, and thus the protection circuits are shutting the set down. There are many types of faults that can cause your description.
