I have a 27" RCA TV that a someone gave me to fix and it had a discolored screen...taking a guess that it was the degaussing coil or it's circuit at fault; I found that the thermistor disc? was blackend. I moved it to check if it had a bad solder joint but the darn thing crumbled, now I don't know what to replace it with...It WAS a silver disc no larger than a dime and had two pins...I have junked TV's I could take a thermistor from. Does it have to to a perfect match? Thanks, Johnson
