Problem with my projection LCD

I have a 55 inch sony projection LCD. After being on for a minute or

2 the TV goes into standby mode (lamp and sound goes out, power light flashes) for about 20 seconds, than the picture and sound come back on. After a minute the cycle starts again.

I have been told mostly likely the lamp is heating up and getting ready to go bad.

Does anyone have any advice for me.

Have someone look at it that is Sony trained.
