a turntable isn't too difficult to understand.. most of the turntable simply have a complex mechanic that actives a microswitch that brings the AC to the motor.

Thats not the problem...

I bought the turntable second hand. However somebody had pulled all the wires going to the stylus out and resoldered them incorrectly. When you play an LP the music has certain higher frequencies missing.

Maybe I'm being cynical or pessimistic, but if you can't figure this one out with a multimeter and a guide to normal cartridge connection, a schematic is not going to be much help.

Your description of the cartridge as a 'stylus' is not too reassuring.

If you still want to attempt this, you don't really need a schematic. You need a good low-wattage soldering iron, a steady hand, some basic hand-tools, a multimeter...and the knowledge of how to use them.

Lacking any of the above...forget it. Find someone who has all the prerequisites and be prepared to pay them.

Holy crap.

If somebody actually held a hot soldering iron on the pins of this cartridge, they very well may have damaged it.

Usually one solders little connectors on the ends of the wires, then gently pushes them onto the cartridge pins (after they've cooled off).

Disconnect all the wires to the cartridge. Hook the table up to a receiver or preamp or whatever you've got that accepts phono inputs. Turn on the receiver at *very low* volume. Touch each wire. You should get a nice, edgy buzzing sound out of two of the wires, one for each channel. If you don't, the problem is elsewhere.
