Keyboard Issue With Some Old Laptop Computers

Hi, I have serviced TVs, Stereos, VCRs, etc. for many years. I have worked on my own computers, but I have never been able to fix a keyboard on any of my old laptops.

The problem is a few keys do not respond (press them and nothing happens, but sometimes it does). Note: Nothing was spilled on the keyboard(s).

Note: An external keyboard always works.

What is the common cause for this type of keyboard problem?

Thank You in Advance, John

Usually condensation dissolving the printed track. No real cure other than replacement.

Interboard header coming undone from flexing of case and then innards, not necessarily at the keyboard header
