OK I had this neat little unit given to me. I do have the operators manual for it.
The only problem it has is a crackling sound coming from the speakers. It is there no matter what function is selected and even when muted you can hear it faintly. It is not loud, but is there at various intervals. I'm thinking maybe a bad cap somewhere in the power supply circuit or a poor solder joint. I don't have a schematic, so I'm kinda in the dark here.
On a unrealated matter, I cannot seem to get audio from the CATV source. When I select CATV I get lots of FM stations, but not the audio from the TV channels. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
