Infinity BU-80 Subwoofer Trouble

Sep 03, 2006 2 Replies

My Infinity BU-80 sub started to make a very loud & fast thumping sound. It would not stop until i unplugged the unit. When i opened it up, I discovered one transistor that had fallen off the circuit board. The spot where the transistor was previously attached appeared to have been sort of fried.

It is worth trying to fix this?

The device is probably damaged and over heated. Normally, they replace the complete board to service your unit. Contact the dealer for details.

yes, if you know how to. Refit a working tr and find out why it got fried and fix it.
