Model # AVR-10, has raw B+ plus & minus, @ turn on, but display is totally black, & unit is otherwise dead. Outputs all check fine, nothing shorted, or open, there isn't a relay, or control transformer. Anyone see this problem? dani.

There is a service bulletin for this symptom - though I'm a bit skeptical after reading it. There is an LC7821 input select IC near the right rear corner of the main pcb which they say causes this problem. Maybe it loads down a regulated power supply line. I can send you the manual and service bulletin in PDF form. You'll need Win RAR to reassemble the service manual chunks.
