I was in the process of reassembling a Sony CDP-C435 5 disc changer which had intermittent problems. Sometimes the carousel would just keep spinning. Sometimes the door itself would jam. In any case, it seemed I had sorted out all those problems and then I decided to remove the main pc board to check for cold solder joints or aging capacitors. Everything in that respect checked out OK. When it came to the point of reinstalling the main board, I noticed there was a problem with the connector on the main board where the FFC attaches to it from the CD transport assembly. Does this connector have some sort of movable latch to hold the cable in place? As it stands now, there is no slot to insert the cable and I can't find any extra pieces on my bench that could presumably be the missing piece. Either that, or there isn't anything missing and I just can't figure out how to reattach the cable.Thanks for your reply
