How about interim use as a pair of bedside lamps....or probably mor impressive...as side pillar mounts for your desk nameplate.
I once did that with an array of KU band Microwave "plumbing"

The 2X1000A doesn't look anything like that. The entire section surrounding the plate is a massive finned heatsink with a cap on top. It looks more like one of those coaxial metal-ceramic tubes, but with a glass envelope instead and 4 pin base like the one above. From memory, it's only about
7 or 8 inches high. If I get a chance, I'll take a pic.
I powered the filament and tested it with a low voltage AC source. It works but definitely not impressive as the glow of the cathode is totally hidden so it doesn't even make a good desk lamp. 3-1000Zs work better as light bulbs. ;-)
The side pillars might be an idea. These are built sturdy.
