Benq Q7T3 LCD monitor repair notes

Hi,

Fault was monitor cutting out in use, found this was due to IEC mains socket soldered to PCB becoming loose, cure was to re-solder socket to board.

Hardest part was getting to the PCB, hence these notes.

  1. Remove pedestal screws (2 long) and back screws (4 short 1 medium).
  2. Prise back cover off, exposes metal cage over PCB.
  3. Remove multiway plug on right.
  4. Peel back self-adhesive foil covering four two-wire plugs, note wiring colour/order then remove 4 plugs.
  5. Prise front plastic bezel off.
  6. Remove 4 countersunk bolts holding LCD to frame.
  7. Remove LCD ribbon from slot (pull gently).
  8. Remove LCD panel.
  9. PCB now exposed, remove black plastic plug locating IEC socket.
  10. PCB can now be unscrewed.

Regards, John
