Can any one show an example of how to setup an 18Fxx2 for RS232 Asynchronous mode.

Connect the outputs through a level shifter (eg MAX233, MAX232) to a PC How to program this and which registers to use is verywell documented in the datasheets (RTFM) and the Application Notes. The sample code on the MicroChip site can easily be adjusted for 18F series PIC. Perhaps you don't need to adjust anything, I found a sample for 18C442.
