RTSS 2004
The 25th IEEE International Real-Time Systems Symposium

The WIP session is devoted to the presentation of new and on-going
research in real-time systems, theory, and applications. The primary
purpose of the WIP session is to provide researchers with an
opportunity to discuss their evolving ideas and gather feedback from
the real-time community at large. Of particular interest are ideas
and contributions that present significant paradigm shifts, explore
unique and unconventional approaches to important problems, or
investigate fundamental departures from conventional wisdom in adopted
solutions. WIP topics include, but are not limited to:
* QoS support
* Compiler support
* Model-based development
* Embedded operating systems
* Energy management
* System development tools
* Real-time systems middleware
* Software engineering
* Adaptive systems theory and practice
* Real-time databases
* Real-time sensor/actuator networks
* RT programming languages
* Security and survivability
* Scheduling
* Real-time and dependability
* Formal methods
* Wireless communications
* Case-studies
* Multimedia computing
* Systems integration
* Architectural support
* Performance modeling
The RTSS 2004 WIP session will be held during the symposium which runs
December 5-8 2004 in Lisbon, Portugal. Accepted submissions will be
included in a separate RTSS 2004 WIP Proceedings which will be
distributed to all RTSS 2004 conference participants and will be
available electronically from the conference home page, as well as
from the IEEE TC-RTS home page.
Submissions to RTSS 2004 WIP should describe original on-going work.
Important dates
* Deadline for submissions:
Friday, September 3, 2004
* Notification of acceptance:
Friday, October 1, 2004
* Deadline for submission of camera-ready copy:
Friday, October 15, 2004
Formatting
* Submissions must not exceed four pages including references and
figures.
* Papers should be formatted as single-space, double-column, in a 10
point font.
* All submissions should be in PostScript (PS) or PDF. Please do not
submit papers in MS Word or other formats.
