Forward/Reverse SWR meter.

SWR meter with badly damaged galvanometer.

Meter deflects (what little is left of it!) and appears to be about 30 to 50 micro amps FSD.

Have a replacement galvanometer that fits perfectly but has about one fifth sensitivity.

The replacement has at least a 250 microamp FSD movement; maybe even

500 micro amps! Intend to do more precise measurement.

But regardless; could one add a small DC amplifier to increase the current feeding the galvo. and then calibrate it to deflect the meter correctly?

Aso adding a small battery and battery switch to power the DC amplifier unit which would only need to be switched on when doing measurements.

Advice/possible circuit appreciated.
